Welcome to the official website for the Grand Forks, ND rock band, SPLIT!


SPLIT is a rock band from the Grand Forks, ND area that performs various events (bars, street dances, wedding receptions and more) across North Dakota and Minnesota.

They play a variety of music from such artists as The Cars, Johnny Cash, Creedence Clearwater Revival, AC/DC, Dwight Yoakum, The Killers, Poison, John Lennon, ZZ Top, Josh Turner, weezer and more!

The band has been around for over two years (February 2011), but the individual band members have been performing in bands for many years:

Tim Belgarde (Vocals/Guitar) was involved with the bands Tim Belgarde Band/OCD (2010-2011), Highwire (2009), J Bobby Hamilton Band (2005, 2007-2009) and Tami Lee & The Northern Lights (2005-2006) since moving to Grand Forks in 2004.

Dean Belgarde (Bass Guitar/Vocals) is the latest addition to the band. He has played with and/or recorded music with local original bands Milennia, Valhalla and Phoenix Rising. Dean also played with Tim in the cover band Blown Fuse in 2001-2002.

Bill Martinez (Drums/Backing Vocals) performed with Whisky Sam for 12 years (1998-2010) and was also in the band Second Wynd (2010-2011).
